Building envelope consulting for targeted coating replacement - Highlights:

• As Engineer-of-Record we provided building envelope consulting for the replacement of 10-year old exterior concrete coatings at a high-rise. The coatings were excessively weathered in many locations due to deficient original installation during the building's construction, and some areas over living space were at risk for water ingress. 

• Using our knowledge of waterproofing systems we specified the suitable products based on a combination of cost, longevity and service conditions to ensure that the client's risks were adequately managed and within budget. 

• During construction, we ensured that inspections and quality controls were made on time and quickly in response to the work progress, which was critical in allowing the project to complete on time just before fall weather which would have made construction much more costly for the client.

• We understand the importance of planning ahead to make sure that projects are done at the right time, for the right price and for the right reasons .
